Icekit opened her eyes and got up. She heard her mother arguing with her father, Venom. Dawnkit was standing by the entrance listening. Icekit heard the words she always dreaded come out of her mother's mouth... " Kill the kits. "
She and Dawnkit raced over to a high tree and tried to escape, but they were not good climbers and failed. Destinywind caught them and threw them on the ground. She hissed, " Greet StarClan for me, kits. " Iceskit saw her bite Dawnkit's throat and then heard the squeal of her sister. Then her world went black.
